A timely challenge in these days of need

By the grace of God and by the generosity of one of God’s faithful servants, we have been blessed and encouraged by a year-end match challenge. It is a challenge that has been offered before and one which we are so grateful for, although we often wonder “How are we ever going to make it this year?â€Â And yet, the Lord has faithfully provided! It’s not an easy challenge as it appeals to individuals who have not given to this ministry for quite awhile to stand with us again. It also challenges those who have given recently or fairly recently to give over and above what they gave last year! Our anonymous donor has faithfully challenged friends and supporters of this ministry to get behind us so that we would be strengthened! In all frankness, the number of gifts that we have received over this last year are significantly down! There are many days in recent months where we have received diminished giving. Because of incredibly strong giving earlier in the year and solid year-end giving last year (including successfully meeting last year’s match challenge) we have been able to minister through this year without sending one special appeal letter! We are so very grateful. However, giving in general and the number of gifts is significantly in decline throughout this entire year. It is concerning; yet we know that many are struggling to pay their own bills, tithe to their local church, and stay afloat financially themselves. Many elderly ones are on fixed incomes. Others have lost their jobs or are unemployed. We truly understand that many are facing serious hardships! That being said, dear friend, if you are in a position of being able to stand with us financially would you please prayerfully consider supporting the work of ADA now and/or in the immediate days ahead to help us meet this important match challenge? Thank you for your prayerful consideration and for doing whatever you can do! The good news is this!  We are just over the $12,000 mark. Here are the details of the challenge: We will again offer a matching grant of up to $15,000 under the following conditions; 1. All new money received between 9/1 /11 and 12/31/11 2. New money is any money received from someone who has not given since 1/1/10 or who gives more in 2011 vs 2010 (but only for the amount given after 9/1/11). (Eg.
