Your letters to advertisers do make a difference: Mattel responds

Yesterday we shared the email from Anne Chun, Inc.  pulling their ad from The Learning Channel’s “Sister Wivesâ€Â.  It came as a result of monitoring this degrading, damaging show, reporting on it and your responding to our action requests. We have also received a positive response from Mattel stating “there are no plans to run advertising during this show.  …â€Â Express your appreciation to: corporate.communications@mattel.com Sample letter: Dear Sirs/Madams: I am writing to express appreciation that Mattel has “no plans to run advertising during this show ( “Sister Wives).â€Â I have to admit, however, it alarms me that a Mattel advertisement could end up on a program like “Sister Wivesâ€Â that is so anti-family, anti-child. With all due respect, I urge you to exercise much greater discretion and care as to the programs that you help make possible. Your letter indicates that you know better and I trust that you will in the future.
