Miss USA photos:  – Lacy lingerie, fishnets, smudged black eyeliner, knee-high boots, ample cleavage and plenty of bare skin, all while positioned in seductive poses on a large bed. ======================== A friend of mine wrote to me this morning:  “… And we wonder why this country is going down. More sexualizing of women and now on to Miss USA. It was blatant before, but this now takes the cake. It is so sad that these young women do not understand that they are being exploited for sex.â€Â Last week I heard Franklin Graham interviewing on Fox’s “On the Recordâ€Â with Greta VanSusteren.  She asked if the reason why the Pentagon rescinded its invitation for Rev. Graham to lead prayer at the Pentagon on the National Day of Prayer was because he called the Muslim faith wicked. Paraphrasing Graham – he said that in his ministry “Samaritan’s Purseâ€Â he has worked cooperatively with non-militant Muslims. They understand where he’s coming from as he makes it abundantly clear to them that Christ is the only way to salvation – that only those who acknowledge Christ as Savior – born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man, shedding His blood at Calvary for those who trust in Him – will be saved and have eternal life. Graham says – they understand my stand even though we don’t agree.  What Muslims don’t like (keep in mind he’s not talking about the radical Muslims) is that America sends abroad to Muslim countries the likes of Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders and movie stars inappropriately dressed. And now we have the Miss USA pageant with lacy lingerie, fishnets, smudged black eyeliner, knee-high boots, ample cleavage and plenty of bare skin, all while positioned in seductive poses on a large bed. Once there was a day where such women were viewed as prostitutes, tawdry, cheap, slutty, troubled. One thing is clear.  What we place before our eyes DOES impact!   As a male, I learned long ago that if I looked at sexually alluring things, it resulted in sexual thoughts – I lusted! Amazingly (by His grace), I became a Christian and took God at His word – not to place wicked things before my eyes.  [Psalm 101:3a]. I heard a man years ago say on his radio show when asked by a young friend:  “I see you turn your face away from alluring billboards and images.  Why do you do that?â€Â The man said “I have learned not to allow lust to have a stronghold in my life.  If I look at such things, satan attacks my thought life.  When I make decisions not to view images that dishonor God, I stay strong and get stronger in the spirit.â€Â That made a great impact upon me. I could say so much more about that.  I know how vulnerable and weak I once used to be and I know how strengthened I have become.   I have seen that the pursuit of holiness [Hebrews 12:14] is an important part of the Christian life.  How can we say that we love the Lord and yet at the same time lust after pornography? Sadly, as these women prostitute themselves and willingly, even proudly and arrogantly, show off their cleavage and body, how many men are using their images as tools of lust? Only God knows how many are being weakened in their marriages and made more vulnerable in their temptations to think upon actions and lifestyles that will bring destruction.
