P is for pervert. Who will you be supporting on election day?

Former President Bill Clinton is flying around the country giving political speeches for candidates of his choice. Radio commentator Mark Levin stated last night, “Bill Clinton should have a capitol P stamped on his forehead.  P for pervert. …â€Â He was referencing, of course, the fact that President Clinton was engaged in an illicit, intimate relationship with Monica Lewinsky between November 1995 and March 1997. As you know, Lewinsky testified that the relationship involved fellatio in the Oval Office and other sexual contact.  His engagement in this immoral behavior resulted in his impeachment. Yet, years later he is still invited to give campaign speeches as if this degrading, destructive, low life action never occurred. With the passing years, one of the things that has been increasingly concerning has been the lack of spiritual discernment exhibited by American voters. As America has turned its back upon God and Biblical standards, Americans have become accustomed to amorality, immorality, separating Judeo-Christian ethics from whom they support as political candidates. Little by little at first, we would see candidates divorce themselves from their faith (or supposed faith).  These types were and are trying to walk a line between not appearing too spiritual and not appearing spiritual at all.  Any way you cut it, it is lukewarm at best!  And, we know what God’s response to lukewarm is.  At least I hope you do. Former Vice Presidential candidate (1984) Geraldine Ferraro, as a Roman Catholic, stated that she was personally opposed to abortion but that she wouldn’t bring her personal views into politics.  Her position:  “pro-choiceâ€Â aka pro abortion. We have heard this kind of thinking emulated in many others over the years – you can’t mix your faith with politics.  And, that, my friends is what has gotten us into the serious predicament that we are in!  Politicians with no convictions regarding Truth, righteousness, God, His standards, good and evil. Last week Friday I visited with a pastor from the Lansing, Michigan area.  He stated “As a pastor that has been pastoring for over 20 years I recognize that I could easily be a news junkie.  I am very much concerned about what is unfolding in America and recognize the high importance of politics.  Nonetheless I also see that too often candidates who convincingly state they are against big government and self-serving politics – once they get elected very few are able to live above the corrupting influence of the charm, the status, the special interests of Washington.  Their idealism becomes polluted, and they work to prolong their stay as a career politician with all of its benefits:  salary, pension, attention, status, etc.â€Â Many have had enough of this crap!  Including me.  Truly one party is as guilty as the other over these many years. However, talk of change is in the air coming from the Tea Party Movement, various candidates,  patriotic Americans! God is moving on the hearts and minds of millions of people in our country to recognize the following, summarized so very well by John Adams: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. I am no scholar but I am no fool either.  I  have lived long enough to see and experience that God blesses obedience and He curses disobedience. In less than three weeks, we have a chance to vote for those who demonstrate an inclination toward standards of righteousness and to vote in opposition to those who have records of godlessness in their political views and life! Do they uphold the Constitution?  Do they hold up the Bible in word and deed? What about you?  Do you care?  Do you get it?  Are you one of those lukewarm ones who plays both sides?  I sure hope not.  For God tells us that He will spew those who are lukewarm out of His mouth.
