Obama change but in the very center is the controversy that will never go away

What to do with Jesus? I was confronted with the controversial Jesus in my early twenties.  In the midst of increasing secularism in my life, anti-war, with hair down to my shoulders, a hippy of sorts, into pornography, with my back turned against the conservative principles of my home and my World War II veteran father, I considered the claims of the Gospel and by His Amazing Grace,  I was saved from the darkness and the lies of Satan:  liberalism, statism, socialism, humanism, secularism. What to do with Jesus? I was confronted with the controversial Jesus in my early twenties.  In the midst of increasing secularism in my life: anti-war, with hair down to my shoulders, a hippy of sorts, into pornography, with my back turned against the conservative principles of my home and my World War II veteran father, I considered the claims of the Gospel and by His Amazing Grace, and I was saved from the darkness and the lies of Satan:  liberalism, socialism, humanism, and secularism. On this Good Friday, I start the day giving thanks to God for the power of the Cross and Christ’s Victory over the grave and the guarantee that this world is not my home and that faith is the Victory that overcomes the world. I thank Him that He has called me to be in this world but not to be of it; to expose and battle against that which is not of Him and leads to destruction; and to encourage and  lift up that which honors Christ and builds up His children. He lives!
