How can it be that a man at this level can be so morally clueless

One of the areas of the state of Michigan where we once had the greatest impact upon fighting pornography was in Wayne County (Detroit).  One of our major victories was not only the shutting down, but the demolition of an adult book store in the late 1990s in Inkster. Mr. Ray Walsh (now deceased) often stated his affection for the city stating that only small portions of the city were centers of criminality.  It would break his heart to read of the account of the moral failings of the Detroit Public School Board President, Otis Mathis.“… Mathis quit after admitting to ‘inappropriate actions’ with his hand between his legs behind his desk while the district's female superintendent sat opposite him trying to have a conversation. …â€Â Detroit Free Press, June 23, 2010. http://www.freep.com/article/20100623/COL10/6230357/ How can it be that a man at this level can be so morally clueless or so dysfunctional that he can’t hide his perversion? And, if this weren’t enough, the Detroit Free Press article continues with the following: He (Otis Mathis)  expressed deep regret and then, inexplicably, asked for his resignation back, buoyed by the comments of fellow board member Reverend David Murray, who dismissed the behavior of the 55-year-old Mathis this way: "He's a young man; maybe he didn't know it was offensive to her … That's just the way it is." And this second comment coming from a pastor, no-less. We are living in a day where we long for people with integrity.   It truly is scary if in fact as the Reverend David Murray (quoting him from above) says, “That’s just the way it is.â€Â When Adam and Eve sinned they lost the glory of God – their nakedness showed – they sought for leaves to cover themselves. As a person moves toward reprobation, they drift more and more into deeper perversion. Things that used to bother them don’t anymore. Reprobation – mind confused. Mind upside down. We can see every civilization by way of this overview.   As more and more individuals in our society move down the path of lasciviousness, concupiscence and then reprobation, we are destroying ourselves. God tells us in His Word that if we turn away from His love and standards, He will let us go and we are turned over to unrighteousness. The result is perversion, sexually transmitted diseases, and many other consequences of ungodliness: God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. [Romans 1: 28-32] God has the only cure: salvation, purity, faithfulness.
