Several years ago I met with a man who had once been a manager of a Déjà Vu strip club in Flint, Michigan.  He had come out of the sex shop business.  His young son was a major tug on his heart and he wanted to straighten out his life and keep his precious son free and clear of his life of degradation.He went straight for a few years but fell back into the lifestyle when he was in need of instant money.  He then turned his back on us. The last I knew, Dave, was still in the pornography business.  I learned a lot about the inner workings of sex shops.  I wonder how Dave is doing today.  I wonder more about his son whom he was trying to guard from the sex shop industry. In recent weeks the name of Shelley Lubben keeps coming up and her ministry “Pink Cross.â€Â My friend, Dr. Judith Reisman, has written a piece on Shelley’s life.  It should be read by all who love light and hate deceit – which should be all of us. “… She has been a guest on talk shows such as Dr.Phil, Michael Reagan and most recently, FOXNews. Her message is one of exposing the $57 billion porn industry for what it is—full of lies and deceit, addiction and broken lives. I also want everyone to know that whatever God did for me, he will do for you. He’ll do this because he loves you and sent his Son Jesus in order to give you a whole new life.’ Shelley tells the women she rescues that God has a plan for their lives and that they ‘were made for greater things.’ Her website offers the real stories of these women, and includes a tragic Dead Porn Stars Memorial. Shelley’s story is indeed inspirational. ‘All I wanted was a normal life. Then I discovered the truth.
