Email exchanges regarding Jack (a regular scorner) & more

By: American Decency Staff

Now these several comments regarding recent emails: Email #1: Abercrombie & Fitch now displaying nude photos in the stores Were you aware that they (Abercrombie & Fitch) are now displaying nude photos in the stores? Dulles Mall, Virginia –  Store has several Nude Girls with small, balled-up pieces of clothing in front of them or Blurry spots over key areas. Also completely nude boys from the back. My oldest is 13 and we went to Abercrombie Kids, but they have shrunken everything so she no longer fits, so we headed down to A & F with my 11 yr. old and got the shock of their young lives!  Needless to say, I sent them out and complained to an employee. ADA comments:  Yes.  We are very aware and commented recently: A&F Quarterly – desperation shows itself at A&F http://bit.ly/99INMJ Email #2: AshleyMadison billboard in Atlantic City We were driving to the shore at Atlantic City and a huge bill board on the side of the road had an ad for Ashley Madison saying: Life is Short    Have an Affair It was terrible and a new low even for Atlantic City. J.P. ADA comments: See our webpage at:  Ashley Madison/Biderman facilitating the destruction of marriages and families; http://bit.ly/cWCMFE Email #3: Macy’s is blatantly promoting gay pride parades and causes. Please note that Macy’s is blatantly promoting gay pride parades and causes. Visit their website www.macys.com/pride Here is a list of what Macy’s is up to: Have a website promoting their gay pride support:  www.macys.com/pride Have posted rainbowcolored signs in their stores boasting about their support and involvement in gay pride parades nationwide.  Are helping fund a counseling agency (Trevor Project) in the name of suicide prevention which advises young people on how to decide their sexual orientation Are hosting gay fashion shows in their department stores complete with drag queen announcers Are putting up window displays marketed toward gays, particularly aimed at getting them to use their store for their wedding registries. I already complained to corporate and their one paragraph response was that they are unwavering in their support for diversity. They have no shame or sense of decency. I have initiated a nationwide boycott. I’d like your publicity, please. N.K. Email #4:  Email exchanges regarding Jack (a regular scorner regarding my statements re: scantily clad and its negative impact.  See: Pornography is every man’s battle: http://bit.ly/aHN8bU Jack has written again as he thinks I’m out of touch regarding the eroticism and erotic dance of the Detroit Pistons dance team “Automotions.â€Â Quoting: Bill: Glad to see you posted my email and your response. You say  pornography is every (young) man's battle, which may be true, and  this is where you make a mistake. I and many others don't consider  Automotion pornography. If you do then I guess you consider bikini's at the beach pornography. And these girls are covered more than some are at the beach. Would you have cheerleaders/dance teams go back to the old days with the 50's style outfits? Not going to happen. What these girls and others do isn't harming anyone. I'm as faithful to my wife as you are to yours, and she shares my views on this subject. I'm 58, she'll be 56 in a week and we've been married 27+ years. So we're not a couple of young kids. But we're not a couple of old fogies who are out of touch with the world. We both say our prayers every night, thankful to the Lord for all that we have. You have to do what you have to do, but why ruin it for those of us who like looking at a pretty girl? Jack S. Responses to Jack from a few others: Response 1: Wow, Jack believes denial is a river in Egypt.  I wonder if he has any daughters, if he minds other men looking at his possible wife, daughter, sister in the way he lusts at other's wives, sisters, and daughters.  PERVERT!  He just doesn’t get it does he? KR Response 2: Your reply to Jack was right on.  In our men's study class at church we used a book, "Every Man's Battle" (I'm sorry I do not recall the author).  Not only did I agree with the author of that book and agree with you, I had already come to that conclusion and this re-enforced those thoughts that had matured in me.  It is the same with many things.  If you consider drinking alcohol and the taking of one little sip what percent drunk are you?  As you continue to sip there is a point that you will be totally drunk.  If you begin to 'observe' the female form in the barest of cover how close are you to lusting?  But if you continue to look there will be a time when lust takes over.  Men are made that way and the only control is to not begin to enjoy looking.  Some men say that it is like looking at beautiful flowers.  Men also do not lust over a carnation but the female form is an attraction to avoid titillating our senses on.  I still have to control my feelings and never forget the end result of what happens when a person lets go and continues to lust.  The Bible tells us the end of lusting and I prefer a place in Heaven. Response 3: Mike Bill, may God give you strength …. You were placed in this position by God to do just what you did for Jack-set him toward the Word. Woo Hoo for all God is doing through you! V.K. Response 4: Your point is a major reason why I have no interest in pro basketball or football. I'm a lifelong baseball fan (Cardinals), and would be heartbroken if MLB started allowing dancing girls like the basketball teams or the barely clothed cheerleaders of pro football. Baseball still seems like the all-American pastime because it has not been tainted like the NBA and NFL. I've lived in the DFW area for many years and also root for the Rangers. I was one of many people who were relieved that good ol' Nolan Ryan won out over Marc Cuban (who owns the NBA's Mavericks). I feared that Cuban would be so bold as to bring his indecent Mavericks-style dancing girls onto the baseball field. I think a lot of people felt relieved. Keep up the great work! B.A. Southlake, TX Response 5: Jack is in DENIAL! Those dance moves and the outfits are meant to be erotic–not athletic. If Jack is not aroused by them, then he must be a eunuch. But I think he knows he is aroused by those dancers and doesn't want to admit it, so he calls them athletic. If athleticism were the goal, then why the skimpy outfits? Athletic moves can be done in outfits like cheerleaders USED to wear–slacks or pleated skirts, crew-neck sweaters, bobby socks and saddle shoes. I can't think of a decent man who would want his wife, sister or daughter doing those moves in those skimpy costumes. ========================================== Your support is important to our ability to make a difference: donate online at: Donate online: https://secure4.afo.net/ada/donate.php American Decency Association Bill Johnson, President P.O.
