Ashley-Madison targets lonely spouses and greases the skids for adultery

By: American Decency Staff

In recent weeks, ADA made the determination to regularly target Ashley-Madison.  We are doing so to be “salt and lightâ€Â against its founder’s (Noel Biderman) treacherous message:   “Are you married but looking? Ashley-Madison is the place for Married Dating.â€Â We will have a website strictly targeting Ashley-Madison in the days ahead. Ashley-Madison refers  to itself as The World's Premier Discreet Dating Service with over 5,855,000 anonymous members.  Ashley-Madison was launched in 2001. This is how we characterize Ashley-Madison:  Ashley-Madison targets lonely spouses and greases the skids for adulterous “affairsâ€Â – all in the name of profit. I had never heard of AshleyMadison.com until recent years. I sat in disgust as I viewed the ad online. This degenerate corporation (AshleyMadison.com) targets troubled marriages and offers match ups with others looking to commit adultery.  A perverse form of “datingâ€Â service. In earlier years, NBC and the NFL rejected a request by Ashley-Madison to air a nationwide Super Bowl ad, however several local Texas stations picked it up and aired it. The ad (in short) featured a married couple “celebratingâ€Â their anniversary in a restaurant. A particular scene in the ad demonstrates that the husband is insensitive to his wife. He cuts off his wife from speaking and moments later receives a cell phone call. He basically says, “Got to run.â€Â, leaving his wife sitting alone, bewildered, degraded and longing to be treasured by her husband, but vulnerable – oh so very vulnerable. The ad targets such individuals. Quoting: PR Newswire: “.. Determined to get his new commercial into the big game, AshleyMadison.com CEO, Noel Biderman, slipped under the radar and aired his new controversial ad in Texas of all places! Biderman specifically chose Texas to run his new female-targeted commercial because (as he so eloquently puts it) ‘In Texas, men love their football and women love to cheat!’ Ashley-Madison:  a few of their promotional slogans that epitomize this marriage destroying website: “Join AshleyMadison.com for free and have an affair … Guaranteed!â€Â “100% Guaranteed – The Ashley Madison Affair Guaranteedâ€Â “Life is short.  Have an affair.â€Â “Are you married but looking? Ashley Madison is the place for Married Dating.â€Â Personal note in closing: Just going on their website makes you feel dirtied. The background picture is of a man and a woman faded out in a provocative, suggestive pose. No matter where you live, if you ever see an Ashley-Madison ad airing, please contact the local station, express indignation that they aired the depraved ad. Direct calls to Ashley-Madison, itself, done in a Christ-like manner, would be most appropriate. Perhaps you can impact a receptionist for the good. Email: media@ashleymadison.com or call: 1-866-742-2218×2206 (toll free) 1-416-483-1317 x 2206 (local) In addition, please contact our office (bjohnson@americandecency.org) providing the details of any Ashley-Madison ad you see, including the station and/or newspaper carrying it and, if possible, any contact information you may have for that media outlet. In closing, my wife and I just returned from a week in the Smokey Mountains celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.    I say with all honesty that our love for one another is filled with more beauty and wonder than ever before.   When you have been married for a number of years very few come to our age and stage and not have had plenty of trials and tribulations.  We are no exception.  Both Jan and I say with conviction “God has been very gracious to us!â€Â To anyone reading this who is struggling, we urge you not to fall for Ashley-Madison or any other similar slick scheme that poses as concerned about you but is only concerned about using your problems to advance their profits. Email me if you would like a few words of encouragement or a listening ear.  I’m not a marriage counselor but I do know how to listen and pray. Lastly, for anyone wanting a special getaway to the Smokey Mountains, see: http://www.littleriverbluffcabins.com/ The owner and her son are Christians who are very welcoming and real deal Christian people worthy of support.
