Allen Wildmon’s new book!

By: American Decency Staff

Personal note: I very recently received a copy of Allen Wildmon’s new book “The Wildmons of Mississippi: A Story of Christian Dissent/The Red Clay Hills of Tippah Countyâ€Â. I met Allen Wildmon in 1988.  I had recently become American Family Association’s first named state director (serving in that capacity between 1987-1999).  I met Allen at a summer AFA affiliate conference in Tupelo, MS, hometown of AFA!For a number of yearly summer conferences and through multiple phone conversations seeking counsel, I grew to love this humble man and his precious wife Mickey, who served as the phone and visitor receptionist for American Family Association. Allen, like his warrior brother, Donald E. Wildmon, hungered for righteousness to once again prevail in America.  Allen was and is a Christian activist.  He has picketed, lobbied, written, petitioned, spoken out repeatedly during his years as public relations director for AFA (along with many other hats that he once wore). Many of us owe a lot to Don Wildmon for his incredible vision, tenacity, intelligence, lion’s heart, love for Christ, for God’s  Word,  and for his commitment to the cause of Christ and His people! But, numbers of us that worked with AFA in local chapters or as state director also owe a great deal to Don’s  brother, Allen Wildmon! Allen’s book is an enlightening and sweet book on the childhood and growing up years of the Wildmon’s – their godly mother and dad and how they struggled through years of leanness and hard times –  yet with their eyes upon the Lord. For any of you that know the Wildmons, this is a must read.  For those of you who don’t know them personally but are supporters of AFA, this book will help you better understand the formation of the tenacity, humility and heart of these men of God. You can purchase the book “The Wildmons of Mississippi: A Story of Christian Dissentâ€Â online at www.afa.net (in the AFA store) or more specifically: https://store.afa.net/p-10000570-the-wildmons-of-mississippi-a-story-of-christian-dissent.aspx I highly commend this book.  It will be one of those books that I will treasure all the days of my life. ==================================== Donate online: https://secure4.afo.net/ada/donate.php American Decency Association P.O.
