By: Steve Huston

In part, I wrote: God gives vision and provision. As we complete another year, we have seen His hand upon this ministry once again. Why are we always so surprised?

I believe.  Help my unbelief.  And, then the call came from a friend of this ministry….

Several weeks ago out in the parking lot on a Sunday evening after church Jeremiah (aged 23) discussed with me that he has wanted to work with us here at American Decency Association.

…

So why am I seeking 400 people to give $250? Because I am looking for God’s anointing on this ministry going ahead into the future. I don’t want to bring Jeremiah into this work only to have to let him go a year from now due to a lack of funding. Strong support in response to this request will send the message that you are committed to our ministry into the future despite the moral slide that is all around us.

Here’s the update. Minutes after emailing yesterday’s email, I received a call from a friend of this ministry sharing in our enthusiasm for adding Jeremiah to our staff.

The caller pledged $50,000. “I believe.  Help my unbelief.” But, God Almighty showed His mighty hand!!!! Tears of joy rolled filling our hearts with gratitude and amazement.

That brings our total to $72,614.00.  We are seeking $100,000 by January 31, 2011.

Jeremiah recently told me: “I’ve hoped that one day Chris (my youngest son) and I could serve in ministry together.” …

Strong support in response to this request will send the message that you are committed to our ministry into the future despite the moral slide that is all around us.

By adding Jeremiah after adding Chris last year in September 2009, we would have two committed Christian young men whose gifts complement each other significantly!

Jeremiah would bring technology and artistic skills, as well as speaking skills. Jeremiah is well grounded in the Bible! We have discussed getting into churches and speaking to youth and others regarding the need to “pursue holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.” [Hebrews 12:14]. My hope is that Chris and Jeremiah can team together in going out and warning, exhorting, encouraging their age group and younger to “guard their hearts.”

I stated yesterday that I believe that God is doing something special here and to ignore it or put it off would be to ignore His guiding hand.   Is He doing something special here?
