Today, I’ll be introducing the movie “Come What Mayâ€Â to the students of a nearby Christian High School.  Below is my brief outline. I encourage you to purchase "Come What May." Available at most Christian book stores. =================================== There are a couple of reasons why I especially like the movie: "Come What May." (1) It's a movie created by "real deal" Christians. (2) Without huge resources these Christians used their God given giftedness and hearts for Christ to produce a movie that honors the Lord. (3) I believe that such efforts will continue to serve as an encouragement to others to also use their lives for His glory. (4) This movie has a couple of salt and light messages that will continue to be the source of debate until Jesus comes again. I speak mainly of this: (a) The U.S. Supreme Court's decision (Roe v. Wade 1973): legalizing abortion.  You will see both sides of this issue powerfully debated in this movie. (b) This movie was made on the campus of Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, VA – 35 miles west of Washington DC. In the movie, you will see that leading characters are involved in a debate team. It will show that the school won the national debates. This, in fact, is true, as Patrick Henry College has won the national debates against such schools as Harvard. (c) The issue regarding dating or courtship. In this movie you will see college student Rachel holding back from invitations by her college colleague Caleb Hogan who asks her on a date and asks her to take a ride with him in his car. Rachel, in a heart-wrenching portion of the movie, makes it clear that she will only give her heart to the one who truly loves and treasures her. Let me summarize it this way. Being a Christian isn't easy. But those who take Him at His word are blessed. He blesses those who obey. He curses those who disobey. God ways are not our ways. Our ways are not His. God is holy. We are sinners in need of a Savior. He calls us to humble ourselves, to seek His face and to turn from our wicked ways.. He tells us that if we want to save our lives we have to give our lives away. He calls us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. He calls us to pursue holiness without which no man shall see the Lord and not to conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. He tells us that Broad is the way that leads to destruction. That narrow is the way that leads to eternal life. ================= American Decency Association, is committed to these very principles.
