“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined.â€Â Isaiah 9:2 Dear Friend in Christ, How appropriate is the above scripture verse for this time, for we do dwell in a land of deep darkness. And yet, tomorrow (and hopefully every day) we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World! It is this Light, Christ our Savior, who strengthens and enables us as we fight the darkness of our land. On my desk is a notice of the passing of a lady whom I never met personally yet who had supported this ministry since the late 1980s.  Faithful gifts given by those who long for holiness, concerned for the damage done by the pornographic trash of this age. It seems that my calling, at least in part, came as a result of my heart for kids. It’s also why many of you passionately support this ministry! Those my age and older have clearly seen a dirtying of our airwaves. It grieves us as we grasp more deeply than many the serious implications for our culture being rained upon by godless themes, talk and imagery. Many American churches, too, have largely failed us as rarely do they preach against sin. What does God say about placing wicked things before our eyes, about homosexuality and same sex marriage, adultery and divorce? God’s people are not taught to discern the difference between the profane and the holy. But our God is faithful! He sent His only begotten Son to set us free from the bondages of sin. He has called us to be holy as He is Holy (I Peter 1:15,16). He is preparing for us a home in Heaven! We live in an imperfect world; we are a people of unclean lips. Yet, He calls us to be His people. With great imperfection, but by His grace, let us continue on serving Him: giving warning and rallying others to keep ourselves unspotted from the world – living godly lives in Christ Jesus! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! And may Jesus – Messiah, Immanuel, Prince of Peace – light your life with His indescribable peace, joy, and love. With love and deep appreciation, Bill Johnson
