Righteous indignation expressed from a friend

I received the following email from a good friend yesterday. At the end, he apologized for his "rant."  He didn't need to. I appreciated and appreciate his burden and caring for this great country and for our kids.  May we care and stand up and make a difference right where we are! He wrote: Bill, good morning. I was happy to see the email this morning on Pam Stenzel’s visit to Fremont HS. I watched the Dr. Phil show yesterday and the subject was Oral Sex and 13-16 year old girls, “Oral Sex is the new Good Night Kissâ€Â. The show put it all on the table, apparently young girls do not feel that oral sex is not sex, plus the added bonus is that you cannot get pregnant, and it makes you really popular with the boys. What is this country coming to? I could not believe that this was so prevalent amongst young girls and it is beginning to infiltrate even younger girls, I just cannot imagine what is going on in their heads, where are the parents? Where is the common sense? We are failing as a society! I would have to even ask the same questions of the young boys who participate in this. Yet when I have reviewed some of this season network television programming, you know exactly where this is all coming from. This is terrible, I keep praying that we will change our ways, but I am afraid for our country. We just keep sinking deeper and deeper into depravity. I see also that Abercrombie and Fitch is still doing a downward economic spiral. Their profits  were down double digits yesterday. Sorry for this morning’s rant. We are failing as a society!  …" ======= My few comments in response: It is never too late to try to save a life or get information into the heart and soul of a young person that will help direct them from a path that may very well lead to their destruction. We were blessed to have the opportunity to hear one of the world's foremost experts speak passionately into the hearts of young people right across the street from our headquarters this week. The 800 plus high schoolers gave rapt attention to her warnings and pleas. Whether they heed Stenzel's counsel is up to them.  But, it is clear that she has sounded the warning with loving care and firmness! In earlier years, I beat the drum for Pam Stenzel's message many times. That was then – now is now.  It is needed now more than ever. Are you a parent of a high school aged or college aged young person? Pam's DVD(s) are filled with warnings, exhortations, passion and compassion. [I don't get a commission on any sales.
