Pornography is not victimless

By: Chris Johnson

What we watch and view DOES impact. As we live out our lives, may we not play games with ourselves pretending as if that isn’t so. It is true!

That little song sung so many years ago still and will always have application:

“Be careful little eyes what you see. Be careful little eyes what you see. For the Father up above is looking down in love so be careful little eyes what you see.”

God has some things to say about it. That’s very clear. Keeping oneself unspotted from the world is a big deal with Christ.

“I will place no wicked thing before my eyes.” [Psalm 101:3a]

“I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl.” [Job 31:1]

Romans 1 comes very much to mind. If we yield to sin, our minds are darkened and little by little we exchange the truth for a lie. We find ourselves compromising, rationalizing, becoming deceived and deceiving others.

May God keep us looking to Him – “Testing all things. Holding fast to what is good. Abstaining from all forms of evil.”
I Thessalonians 5:21,22.
