Pornography Awareness Week – Oct. 25 – Nov. 1

By: American Decency Staff

WRAPWe live in a day where so many are silent regarding the damaging/destructive impact of pornography.  Human nature is such that if you don't hear anything about it that you think that it isn't doing any harm. One of Satan's clever devices is to quiet the tongues of man regarding this trash from the pit of hell. I never thought I would see the day where young women (and not just young women either) would dress like sluts.  But, many do and they have bought into the lie that it's attractive. Somewhere perhaps it was Pam Stenzel who said "Girls: You will catch the kind of guy that reflects your character." That can be a scary thought.  Dress like a tramp and you'll draw a guy that is drawn to lewdness.  Then, after he tires of you, he'll tramp after another tramp.  You get the gist. This ministry has attempted to shed light on the trash of this age for quite awhile now. We found and find detestable "Desperate Housewives" with all the cleavage look that it brought to millions of households.  Was it just me or did it seem to you that with the advent of that lewd program that increasing numbers of women felt it chic to bear increasing portions of their breasts? I'm very much attracted to my wife. However,  I have never wanted others to be lusting after her because of the way that she dressed. I have wondered for along time (since I was in my early thirties beginning to take a stand) why there aren't more people speaking up and standing up and opposing lewdness, the slutlike look – wherever it's lust producing look appears.  Why? Where are all the Christians? Men of God? Women of God? Christians? Through our collective silence we have lost an awful lot of ground – at the checkout counters, department stores, airwaves, cell phones, Internet, etc., etc., etc.. Pornography victimless?  It seems like it due to the chicken-hearted silence. Is there one of you reading this who is willing to share with me your story that I can use to break the silence with me during this Pornography Awareness Week 2009? I WILL keep it anonymous. Help me give the warning! I have no doubt there are women (particularly) but not just women, whose mate is breaking their heart because of their playing with the fire of pornography – lusting, leering, hooked. I await your response. Pornography DOES victimize.  Right? What do you think? ==================================== American Decency Association Bill Johnson, President P.O.
