Pam Stenzel. Her agenda?

International Speaker Pam Stenzel spoke at Fremont (MI) High School October 6.  She powerfully challenged the youth as she does wherever she goes. Her agenda? To inform the youth of the dangers of premarital sex and to let them know that there are far greater dangers than pregnancy (though not down playing the serious concern that teenage pregnancy holds). Pam takes time to describe a few of the STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) that are impacting America's youth and the dangerous, debilating impact that such diseases inflict  – including infertility. She mixes humor with cutting edge sarcasm (that helps sink important application). Stenzel has an array of skills that include a powerful voice, voice inflection, a command of the subject – having served in a crisis pregnancy center for nine years. In addition, and most noteworthy, is that Stenzel is genuine and passionate for the youth.  Through her counseling of youth, Stenzel has seen first hand the consequences of illicit sex. Pam's birth mother was raped as a young teen and gave Pam up for adoption.  Pam Stenzel says she has never met her birth mother but hopes that one day  she will have the opportunity.  And, if that opportunity ever comes, she says, "I will hug her and thank her for loving me so much that she gave me life!" After her 70 minute presentation to an attentive audience she greeted a number of students afterward for counsel, words of encouragement and a listening ear also urging the students to contact her via her email address if they needed further counsel. Pam told me personally that there is always significant communication that takes place afterward via the Internet as she returns to her home. Our youth are being bombarded by so many confusing messages by our culture (no thanks to so-called adults who prey on youth) via the Internet, texting, morally bankrupt television shows, teen magazines, etc., etc.. Pam is a powerful tool for right thinking that serves as a reminder of what is right, good, safe, and will help keep them from diseases that have the potential of destroying their lives.
