The 58th Annual National Day of Prayer took place today, Thursday, May 7, 2009. Millions united in prayer as thousands of events took place from coast to coast. The theme for this year is “Prayer… America’s Hope” and is based on the verse from Psalm 33:22 which states: “May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”
Enclosed are some pictures that were taken at our local city hall in Fremont, MI. Nearly 70 people including children from a local Christian school were in attendance.. We were honored to have the Fremont High School band play “God Bless America” while we sang and a local high school young lady sang the national anthem. The prayer time was powerfully led by local clergy who prayed deeply and concernedly regarding the spiritual decline of America. One pastor stated “That though America was once a Christian nation that sadly can no longer be said.” Pray for America and for spiritual restoration and revival.
