Personal note:
What a great night we had showing “Fireproof” on New Years Eve! Our little auditorium was packed to overflowing at the 6:30 pm showing. What a wonderful spirit our audience had as together we laughed and cried at the wonderful message of this anointed film!
At our 9:30 movie showing, though our numbers were only about 50, nonetheless it was an outstanding time of ministry and fellowship as both qualities marked our evening!
We are going to do this again very soon as there are many more that would be blessed by the program.

Gifts are still coming in from 2008 helping us close out the year in an encouraging fashion! Though giving is significantly down from last year, we marvel at the faithfulness of God and His people!
Keep on dear friends! 2009 promises to be a tough year, but His strength is made perfect in weakness!
In closing, this first message of 2009, I share with you the words to a powerful old hymn song at my granddaughter Cassies funeral this past August.
My Anchor Holds
Though the angry surges roll
On my tempest driven soul,
I am peaceful, for I know,
Wildly though the winds may blow,
I’ve an anchor safe and sure,
That can evermore endure.
Refrain
And it holds, my anchor holds:
Blow your wildest, then, O gale,
On my bark so small and frail;
By His grace I shall not fail,
For my anchor holds, my anchor holds.
Mighty tides about me sweep,
Perils lurk within the deep,
Angry clouds o’ershade the sky,
And the tempest rises high;
Still I stand the tempest’s shock,
For my anchor grips the rock.
Refrain
I can feel the anchor fast
As I meet each sudden blast,
And the cable, though unseen,
Bears the heavy strain between;
Through the storm I safely ride,
Till the turning of the tide.
Refrain
Troubles almost ‘whelm the soul;
Griefs like billows o’er me roll;
Tempters seek to lure astray;
Storms obscure the light of day:
But in Christ I can be bold,
I’ve an anchor that shall hold.
Refrain
