The battle against pornography starts with you

Personal note:

I recall years ago as a Christian in my early twenties hearing about the importance of having a time for prayer and Bible reading in the morning. It was a foreign concept to me. I began to venture out into trying to incorporate what it meant to pray and to read devotionally the Word of God.

I personally discovered (little by little) that spiritual growth was enhanced and, I believe, strengthened through this every day discipline. “Faith comes by hearng and hearing by the word of God.”

The battle against pornography starts with you, and it starts with me. You and I have some influence in working to roll back the tide of pornography. However, we have significant opportunity to obliterate the influence of pornography, obscenity and indecency out of our own lives.

I have believed for a long time that it begins with me! For me, it begins in the very first moments of my every day – spending time with the Creator God in His Word and in prayer. His love for me is clear. He has saved me out of the darkness of pornography and put my feet upon the solid rock.

By His grace, I will not let pornography knock me off the sure footing He has given me.

May God help you as He has helped me and millions upon millions down through the ages upon ages including David, the son of Jesse.
