Penney’s ad fliers. Not a big deal?

By: American Decency Staff

Penneys ads fliers? Maybe it isn't a deal to you, but it is to me. Here's why. I used to be hooked on pornography. I'm just being honest. Why is there a book and DVD series that has been created entitled "Every Man's Battle?" Many aren't honest even with themselves about it. So I say yeah those ads in the flier that I referenced and displayed with a disclaimer are a big deal for rather obvious reasons. J.C. Penneys and Victoria's Secret can get away with it – and they have, but it is a stain upon the newspapers and a great hindrance to untold numbers. Are those individuals that make up this untold number going to tell you that displays featuring scantily clad beauties with sultry looks on their face is a hindrance? Probably not. But there are some who will admit it. I will and I do. It was a problem during some vulnerable years of my life. I found victory over it, but not without a whole new world and life view! Every man's battle? If it isn't every man's battle somewhere along in life, it is at the very least most every man's battle. So shame on J.C. Penney. They can do better, and they will if they hear from enough of you. Can you take a moment to contact Penney? It would be good if you did. Here's a sample letter. It's better if it's in your own words out of your own experience. If you can drop it to me, that would be an encouragement with the permission to share it with others (with your approval). Here's the email from yesterday and the link to one of the J.C. Penney pages WITH DISCLAIMER. A mall employee's complaint and JC Penney Click here Disclaimer Sample letter: Dear Sirs: Why do you find it necessary to use scantily clad images of women in your advertising fliers? I align my shopping dollars with companies that are sensitive to moral sensibilities not to those who use eroticism to sell. I urge you to exercise greater responsibility in how you advertise your products. Parents should not have to guard their children and teens from the Sunday newspaper. How you advertise will impact my future purchasing decisions. Sincerely, ===== Contact: J.C. Penney Corporation, Inc.
