I was listening to American Family Radio on Tuesday and caught a vision. We are joining in!!

Though human acts and action are vital, it is only by the grace of God that we will be delivered from the national/societal mess we have gotten ourselves into over years of sin and hardening of the heart.

Quoting:

A CALL TO CORPORATE PRAYER ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

God has laid it upon our hearts to call the people of the United States of America to prayer on behalf of our nation.

In the inspiration and tradition of the Fulton Street Revival of 1857, we are calling for a grassroots movement of prayer around the cities of America for the welfare of this nation. Many believe that with the upcoming presidential election, the future of our country lies in the balance.

America has turned its back on its rich spiritual heritage that once encouraged a fear of God – respect and trust of Him – and a life of morality directed by the conviction that the Bible is the Word of God and should be honored as such in all matters of life.

Our society has greatly degenerated with each passing year, removing the traditional acknowledgement of God from public places and public forums, demeaning those who hold to the precepts of God, redefining the meaning of family, tolerating the corruption of morality even among its leadership, and ignoring the consequences, the judgment of God as seen in natural disasters and in the removal of His sovereign hand of protection from this nation. We have polluted the land with the blood of the unborn. Morally, America has never sunk so low. This has come to pass because there is no fear of God before our eyes. Instead, without the moorings of His Word, as the scriptures say, “everyone does what is right in their own eyes …”

Only the mercy of Almighty God can save us from ourselves. The time is critical. …”

We began today. We started with a hymn and then we read from Daniel 9:3-19.

There were eight at our first gathering. We are persuaded that God is calling us to prayer. Perhaps you will be too.

There have been many programs that have brought concern to American consumers. The one you are currently sponsoring is perhaps the very worst program ever aired on network television.

CBS’ “Swingtown” is a show where the entire premise is bent on legitimizing ‘open marriage’ and group sex. The message propagated over and over is that ‘everyone’ has an open marriage – it isn’t adultery – it will improve one’s marriage.

I can’t imagine a corporate decision maker discovering the perversion that this show presents continuing to advertise on this damaging, disgraceful CBS program.
