“Fireproof my marriage” – a time to build up!!

On Friday night my wife and I attended “Fireproof” in Muskegon and discovered for ourselves that this film is perhaps the most powerful movie we have ever seen about marriage – particularly about the power of God to heal marriages through a heart that finally becomes yielded.

Just days after the “Truth Project” I heard about another simulcast seminar called “Fireproof my Marriage.”, featuring Dr. Gary Smalley and others. Curious, I found that it comes on the heels of the new movie entitled “Fireproof.” You may have already heard about it. It is created by the same folks that produced “Facing the Giants” which was a powerful film laden with Christian themes and the anointing of God, I believe.

Tears were shed by many including myself. There were multiple themes that spoke to many of the vulnerabilities and sins that so many couples encounter along the way: poor communications, distractions, failing to initiate and/or respond to love, taking one another for granted, financial indiscretions, pornography on the Internet.

I say all of this to say that I know a number of friends and loved ones struggling and knowing first hand of others whose marital relationships are near collapse, I felt the Lord tugging on my heart to do what I can do to help and minister through this powerful marriage-strengthening seminar – “Fireproof my Marriage.”

We will be one of many nationwide hosting this timely simulcast on Saturday, November 1 between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm (eastern standard time) right here at 203 E. Main, Fremont (across from Fremont High School).
