At the checkout

At your "family friendly" grocery store this month at the checkout. Right there in front of our face —January 2008 Cosmopolitan: DISCLAIMER —- THE HEADLINES: *** "Dirty Sexy Sex Top Experts Share Moves So New and Naughty, You Could Only Read Here" *** "Sex Sessions That Ended in the ER You'll thank God It Wasn't You" TAKEN FROM JANUARY 2008 COSMOPOLITAN On page 91: "Blow-His Mind Tip Rock Killer Cleavage" "Next time you're spending some one-on-one time with your guy, show up with more dramatic decolletage [French, action of cutting or wearing a low neckline] than usual. Wear a plunging top with a cut-down-to-there neckline or a bra with pushup properties (or both). It doesn't matter if you aren't sporting a big rack — it's the sneak peek of sexy skin combined with the brazenness of showing off your hot body that will really get him excited. (Just don't expect eye contact)" Response of one corporation to expressions of concern: See: https://americandecency.org/main.php?f=updates_new/2008/January/01.16a.08 PERSONAL NOTE: It is not our desire to offend you, but rather to demonstrate the offensiveness of Cosmopolitan. We sincerely hope that you, in turn, will be offended when you come face to face with this magazine in checkout aisles and will share your concern with the store manager. Would your family supermarket sell pornography in the checkout aisle at eye level of children? Would they allow anyone of any age to purchase it? Most grocery store owners/managers would never tarnish their reputation and offend their customers by selling porn, but every store that carries Cosmopolitan magazine is doing just that. Pornography in the guise of a woman's magazine. Cosmo at one time, many years past, seemed to have a reputation as a trendy woman's magazine filled with fashion, hair and makeup tips. It was marketed for the "liberated" woman. The Cosmo of recent years, and most certainly of today, has much more to do with sex than fashion and it has nothing to do with "liberating" women, but rather is a tool to objectify and degrade women. From the front cover to the last page, Cosmo is filled with pornographic articles, giving women perverse, sexual "advice". The cover headlines attest to the focus and content of the magazine. What will our next President do about any of this? Nothing! That's our business. Meijer incorporated the blinder because they consistently have heard from people. REPEATEDLY UNTIL THEY DID SOMETHING. Express your appreciation to Meijer and urge them to be vigilant in continuing to make sure they are using the blinders from store to store. http://www.meijer.com/contact/pcaform.asp Call toll-free within IL, IN, KY, MI, & OH: 1-800-543-3704 3.
