Response letter from Ace Hardware:
Thank you for contacting us regarding Ace’s advertising on the CBS prime-time show, “Swingtown.”
When the media buy was placed for the show that aired Friday, August 8, we were unaware of the questionable content that would be included in that particular episode. While Ace, like all advertisers, is never given the opportunity to preview shows before the advertising is placed against our target demographic, we have made the decision to permanently cease all advertising on this particular CBS show, effective immediately.
For more than 80 years, Ace has prided itself on being an organization that puts family values, integrity and the highest standards in the forefront of all that we do not only at our 4,600 retail locations, but also throughout the corporation. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us and sincerely hope that you will continue to make Ace “your place” for your neighborhood hardware needs.
Sincerely,
Anne-Marie Cronin

A few related comments:
*** Just called Mr Hodnik’s office at Ace Hardware and the pleasant lady in advertising said they “pulled” their ad. I said “God bless you”. and God bless American Decency and its members!

*** PS I am sure if we dug into the financing of Swingtown and Gossip Girls, etc we will find these are being funded by Big Porno, so that advertisers aren’t the key support here at all, they don’t worry about losing money since they are gaining addicts.

*** Bill, I’m with you on all of course except please make it clear when you use Big Porno’s term “bondage” that you are talking about sadism. Same thing with sex “toys” are not toys but paraphernalia. Best, as ever, thanks,

Regarding “The twisting and manipulation of Scripture”
https://americandecency.org/main.php?f=updates_new/2008/August/08.11.08
*** Dear Bill, PLEASE quickly correct the designation for the “PC(USA)” denomination so people WILL NOT confuse that group with the PCA, Presbyterian Church in America!
Thank you, Pastor J.K.
My note: This pastor is wanting me to assure our readers that it ISN’T THE PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) that is liberal and becoming increasingly liberal but rather the PC (USA): Presbyterian Church USA. He’s correct. I apologize for any confusion.
*** Friend Bill,
You are on God’s side of this issue no matter how many have abandoned it or never come to it. And when you are on God’s side of a matter, you are on the majority side. Numbers don’t count. When men reject the inerrancy and infallibility of God’s Word they also reject those attributes of God Himself. As Isa. 53:6 tells us, “We have turned evey one to his own way.” When we do that we are in stark opposition to God and His way.
Please continue to immerse yourself in God’s Word and to proclaim the truths therein. We all need to hear it and to have it reinforced by leaders such as you. Even though we may be few in numbers it is better to be right with God. Someone once said that compromise draws crowds. That is very evident. But when we stand before Christ at the Bema will it be a comfort and will it garner rewards to tell Him that our motive was “to draw crowds”? To draw them for what? To hear error? To compromise along with others who are twisting His Word? I don’t think so.
Be assured of our prayers.
Your sister in Christ,
Dottie K.
