Interview with the Gazette (out of Maryland) I did an interview yesterday discussing the fact that there were a couple of malls in Maryland that were also causing the indignation of concerned shoppers due to erotic Victoria's Secret displays. (I'm hoping to find out which communities that includes.)In Carmel, Indiana (near Indianapolis) there is a growing group of concerned citizens who will be picketing the Clay Terrace Mall (A Simon Properties Mall) this Saturday (December 6). Here is what one of the leaders of this concerned group of shoppers is saying: ———————- " Why is the sexiest store in America marketing to our children? The window has been changed but none of us would like our 12 year olds PJ party to look like what their window portrays. If we don't take a stand now what will VS be selling in their window next? Please join us for a picket on Saturday Dec.8 at 1pm. We need you! Don't let your children down or your children's children! The Mayor as head of our city could call VS corp and let them know the window needs to be family friendly at Clay Terrace. He could also talk to Mel Simon to put some pressure on Victoria's Secret. We need … to stop VS from continually degrading women and advertising SEX to our kids!! They've been objectifying women for years. Are they going to start objectifying children as sex objects also?
