Last year I was introduced to a new campaign that I found attractive and important that allows me to lift up the word of God to thousands of people every day in a meaningful and easy way. I’d like to share the campaign with you.In October 2006, Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel announced the “One a Month Campaign”, one commandment per month beginning in January 2007. But it doesn’t matter when you join. Just match the Commandment with the current month (e.g. Feb = 2nd, June = 6th, etc). Mat Staver will be one of the voices reminding us of the monthly changes and showing us unified in our conviction. Hopefully, other groups will join the process. I believe the idea of America being on the “same page” could be powerful. God’s Word does not return empty. Churches could participate by informing their congregations. Para-church organizations could gain energy and momentum for their causes. Individuals have an opportunity to make a personal statement of convictions. What can one person do? That was the question I kept asking myself. Scripture tells us: 1) God’s Word does not come back without results (Isaiah 55:11). 2) God’s heart is broken because His people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). 3) When faced with a large task, God tells us to be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6). In light of these scriptures, I would like us, as American believers, to do something that is gently proactive. I have developed a set of the Ten Commandments that can be applied to the back windows of our cars – one commandment at a time. They are printed on a trans-cling vinyl which is easily applied and removed (no residue). They are attractive, readable, measure 4 3/4 x 15 and are affordable ($10 / full set). To view the set: http://www.tencommandmentsonline.net/oneamonth/index.htm Why is this being done? http://www.tencommandmentsonline.net/why/ After checking out these pages and their associated links, it is up to you whether you want to proceed or not. I have been exhibiting these on my car back window throughout the year. It is a great campaign and worthy of my support, and, I believe, yours too. To order: http://tencommandmentsonline.net/order/index.htm Let me know if you decide to sign on as I have. [By the way, there is nothing in this for me or ADA.] I’m promoting it because I believe it’s a powerful campaign because the Word of God is life changing. ======================================================= Recently, I have tried to draw your attention to a message delivered by Dr. John MacArthur speaking at a National Day of Prayer event in Colorado Springs. His words reinforce warnings spoken by Schaeffer in the 1980s. MacArthur, as he concluded his powerful message, stated that God has abandoned America consistent with Romans 1. http://www.lightsource.com/ministry/grace_to_you/20070527/ MacArthur (paraphrasing): “Oh that my people would listen – that Israel would walk in my ways.” The only hope for this or any society is to hear the word of the Lord and obey it – to hear the word of the Lord and obey it. MacArthur continues: “This is not a good time for weak men, preaching weak messages, in weak churches. This is a time for bold and powerful, strong, biblical ministry that calls people to hear the word of the Lord and respond. This is the only hope for any people – for any individual.” American Decency Association Bill Johnson, President P.O. Box 202 Fremont, MI 49412 PH: 231-924-4050 www.americandecency.org
