Incorporating blinders: Meijer, Inc.

Meijer stores (in some cases) beginning to incorporate blinders for Cosmopolitan. This past weekend I noted in two different Meijer stores in West Michigan that Cosmopolitan magazines at the checkout were covered by a blinder that effectively shielded the shopper from the erotic cover. It appeared that it might be a store-wide corporate policy. However, further checking in other Meijer stores indicated that it is not a store-wide policy but a store by store. We urge those of you who shop Meijer to make a difference at your local Meijer by urging the manager to adopt blinders at the checkout.
