God’s blessings showered upon ADA continues

By: American Decency Staff

We now look to Saturday, August 4 when we will have an open house and dedication of our new ministry location.
We will be sharing further details about this special event in the days ahead.

Stay tuned.

God’s blessings showered upon ADA continues

Two and half years ago God gave me a vision for the purchase of a church building on main street of our community. It was right across from the high school, next to city hall and the fire department and kitty corner from the public library. What a location! It happened to also be a church building.

Fremont, Mi is known as the baby food capital of the world being the home of Gerber Baby food. It was actually Gerber dollars (at least in part) that contributed to the building of the classic church building located at 203 E. Main Street. The building was the home for a Christian Scientist church since the 1940s until recently.
(We are not Christian Scientists.) I have a seminary degree from the Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary.

We closed on the purchase of the building a couple of months ago. It was made very clear to us that the only way we were to buy the building was debt free.

The touch of God was upon His people. Monies flowed into this ministry in a supernatural fashion at key times in 2006 and in early 2007. We purchased the building debt free at $210,000 with another $28,000 coming over and above – that allowed us to begin to address some significant renovation and repair issues – boilers, walls with significant water damage, roofing issues, etc., etc..

The last couple of days of last week with the help of friends of this ministry we moved desks, computers, tables and chairs, and printers, etc.. The last few items are being moved as I write.

The miracle of God has continued through the initial vision, the grace to follow the sense of His leading, the patience and trust that God was in fact in it, the waiting upon the Lord and the help of many – financially, through prayer and hands on labor.

And so here I am – sitting behind this desk, in this unfamiliar office (soon to become very familiar) – saying thanks to those of you who cared, prayed, gave, sacrificed for us and with us that God would be glorified.

To cap it off this morning, as I am reading through the New Testament, it was time for this portion of scripture which has served and continues to serve as an underpinning of this ministry.

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:13-16 (KJV)

Our July bulletin insert
Oh that many churches would make this information available to their people that moms and dads and their children would be urged to seek “higher ground” and not give place for Satan.
