Fools for Christ’s sake

Join me in praying for a band of fools for Christ being willing to sign up to receive an American Decency Association membership card that will be used to show the grocery store manager when you step up and take a stand that you are part of a nationwide effort to restore family shopping centers to being free of lewd magazines. Yesterday’s email alert gave a brief synopsis of the contents of Cosmopolitan magazine. As Christians, it’s time to take a stand! Too often we don’t. I Cor. 4:10 “We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ: we are weak, but ye are strong: ye are honourable, but we are despised.” Here Paul is using a little tongue in cheek with the Corinthians. But, he’s making the point. He and a few others gathered with him are laying their lives on the line, and, they are paying a price – fools for Christ’s sake. While they (the Corinthians) are keeping themselves from being put in situations that might result in ridicule, mocking, derision. Fools for Christ’s sake. I had a radio personality interview me last week regarding a national campaign to find those willing to be fools for Christ and to be part of a “Gideon’s army” taking action steps at their local stores to roll back the indecency of magazines like that described in yesterday’s email. Join me in praying for a band of fools for Christ being willing to sign up to receive an American Decency Association membership card that will be used to show the grocery store manager when you step up and take a stand that you are part of a nationwide effort to restore family shopping centers to being free of such trash. We will be furnishing a membership card and an instructional DVD and/or CD that will systematically explain how to address store managers and/or owners regarding this concern. There will be a minimal price attached to this membership card to show that you are willing to make a financial sacrifice ($25.00) and not just be a curiosity seeker. This price will help cover the costs of the identification card, the DVD and postage.)
