By: American Decency Staff

… Some of the items we will cover include:

***Christians and the Internet – Are we any different? ***Why did Jesus pray “lead us not into temptation”? ***Just what is the impact on Christians? ***Is MySpace the end times whore described in Scripture? ADA is bringing our friend Steve Ensley to West Michigan to present an instructive and inspirational message regarding the power of the Internet and the Christian. Here are Steve’s words of explanation about the event. The Nielsen Company, which is known world wide for measuring things, has stated that in 2007 more than 85% of U.S. households have access to the Internet. I believe if you count school and library access the number is actually closer to 100%. It can be argued that everyone has access to the Internet and it has had a bigger influence on our culture than air travel, microwave ovens and pop-tarts! It ranks right up there with the light bulb, radio, TV, space travel and industrialization! Bottom line, no matter what your level of expertise or usage, your life in this culture is impacted by the Internet! The Internet can be a tremendous resource for good, but it also has a very dark side! When Jesus gave us the Lord’s Prayer He was careful to include this admonition “… and lead us not into temptation”. Why did Jesus include this plea to the Father? I can assure you they were not just filler words! I believe one of the reasons was that Jesus knew it would be easier for us to avoid temptation than to resist temptation. And obviously Jesus was speaking to us adults not the children! If you would like to come learn more about the Internet including some eye opening narratives and why it is so important for us adults to avoid temptation then please join me for a presentation on the subject on Friday June 22, 2007 at 7:00 PM in Fremont, MI (203 E. Main). Some of the items we will cover include: ***Christians and the Internet – Are we any different? ***Why did Jesus pray “lead us not into temptation”? ***Just what is the impact on Christians? ***Is MySpace the end times whore described in Scripture? ***What should our response be? ***Question and Answer Session ***Light reception to follow. Join me, I can assure you that if nothing else you will come away with a lot more information about the Internet than you will ever hear from the secular world.
