“M” is for: Marijuana, Maine, and Mayhem – brought to you by the letters CCP

By: Steve Huston

“M” is also for Michigan, where, in numerous locations, the unmistakable odor of pot lingers, offending the olfactory senses of many while drawing others. According to Bridge Michigan: “Seventy-five of Michigan’s 83 counties now count at least one marijuana business, and there are now more than 850 such businesses statewide.” Although marijuana sales in Michigan have “decreased 4.2% in June statewide,” “the industry added 470,000 plants, up to 3.2 million,” and another 76 applications have been received from people wanting to launch marijuana businesses.

Those applicants might fair well if they have plans to do business along Michigan’s Indiana and Wisconsin borders, where sales are abundant due to traffic from these two states in which marijuana is still illegal. Bridge Michigan, in another article, reports that for one day “eight in 10 customers…at Exclusive Cannabis had crossed the border for flowers, edibles, pre-rolls and more.” That’s the norm for these border towns, “where pot has reshaped downtowns and, some say, the character of communities.”

In February, one Upper Peninsula County received marijuana tax revenue equal to 6% of the county’s annual general fund budget. That equals nearly $300,000 per 10,000 residents – more marijuana revenue per capita than any other county in Michigan. The money from these taxes in Coldwater, a much higher dollar amount, “have gone toward park renovations and the city plans to use some for a facelift of US-12, the main artery through town.”

With Michigan counties having embraced marijuana and having become used to the resulting tax dollars from it, some now likely wonder what these counties would do without the financial hike while others are more concerned with how it has impacted their communities and the perceived face of these communities. One lifelong Menominee resident, Fred Hofer Jr., reportedly stated: “You drive through Menominee right now and you get the impression all they do is sell dope … When you’re trying to attract businesses, families with kids for the school system … There’s just a lot of people that don’t want that impression.”

Moving on to Maine, we find that the pot industry there makes Michigan’s marijuana troubles look like child’s play, thanks to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and their plethora of illegal ploys used as a means of attacking America from within – changing our communities, destroying our land, and harming our people through the illegal growth and illegal distribution of marijuana. It’s vital to be informed; what is happening in Maine, doesn’t stay in Maine.

Gratefully, these truths and warnings are being exposed by Tucker Carlson and Frank Gaffney, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to believe the extent of insidious devastation that’s taking place there. I urge you to listen to Tucker Carlson’s interview with Steve Robinson as he “exposes the Chinese mafia’s secret drug empire in the U.S. and the politicians involved” and/or watch Frank Gaffney’s webinar More CCP Chemical Warfare: It’s Weaponized Marijuana Operations Here. If you are a subscriber to the Tucker Carlson Network, you can also watch his documentary: High Crimes: The Chinese Mafia’s Takeover of Rural America.

Steve Robinson is an investigative journalist who grew up in Maine. He tells us that “there’s probably 300 to 400 properties throughout the state of Maine that are under the control of what the Department of Homeland Security, under President Biden, called Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations” – better understood as the Chinese mafia. These “Chinese marijuana grows” are everywhere – former schools, nursing homes, churches, etc. It’s no secret to the people of Maine and they’re terrified.

The Chinese mafia doesn’t pay taxes, isn’t held to regulatory compliance, illegally uses pesticides and fungicides which both contaminate the marijuana and the ground. “We don’t even know the extent of the damage that has been done as a result of the Chinese pesticides and fungicides that have been imported from China illegally into California and then shipped to Maine and used at these sites as fumigants.” These Chinese grows “also export marijuana. About two thirds of the product that they grow illegally leaves the state of Maine. Legal growers aren’t allowed to do that because it’s not federally legal yet. So, if you have all these built-in cost advantages, you can get a significant amount of money off of it.” It’s a multi-billion-dollar industry in which China wins and America looses on so many fronts.

How has Dexter, Maine – and I would assume many other places in Maine – changed? “There are grow houses, there are flop houses. There are prostitution houses masquerading as massage parlors. … There are other facilities that seem distinctly militaristic in character.”

In regard to this specific topic and the general CCP’s toxic infiltration of America, Trevor Loudon well-summarizes, warning: “If we have Chinese companies and investment in every congressional district, we create constituencies of several thousand people who are dependent on the industries that are then controlled by the Chinese, whether legal or illegal.” To this end, most congressmen won’t speak out against what the Chinese are doing or what that may mean negatively for their communities or even for America as a whole. Much like what we questioned at the start of the article regarding marijuana tax revenue and what it means for the community as a whole, financially speaking.

“Any Chinese investment, whether it’s in drugs, legally or illegally, in farmland, whether it’s producing pork or marijuana or whatever it’s doing is utilized as a strategic weapon by the CCP. And it also increases political influence in that area. And it allows a flow of money to fund organizations like voter registration organizations, to bribe local politicians, to bribe local electoral officials.” Trevor continues, “You know, bringing the Chinese into your state is like letting the Mafia take over your state. You’ll make some money in the short term, but they’ll sell drugs to your kids. They’ll corrupt your politicians. They’ll steal your technologies, they will interfere in your elections, and they will eventually take you over. That is how the CCP works. So, it’s not at all surprising that the CCP should be heavily involved in the drugs trade.”

I want to take a moment, here, to say that Michiganders owe Congressman John Moolenaar a debt of gratitude for his righteous stands against the CCP getting a foothold in upstate Michigan. He’s also the chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and has been very formidable in his opposition to both what the Chinese are trying to do and naming influential Americans who are trying help them. Only God knows if Michigan would have become another Maine, if it weren’t for Congressman Moolenaar’s stand and influence. Please take time to give him a call – (202) 225-3561 / (989) 802-6040 – or send him a note of thanks for all he’s done.

On the other hand, although we are grateful for all the good that President Trump is doing, we are greatly concerned with his recent plans to federally reclassify marijuana from it’s current Schedule I drug classification (like cocaine and other drugs that are always prohibited) to a less harmful Schedule III drug (like steroids and Tylenol with codeine).

As shown above, with such “legalization” comes the proliferation of crime and vast predictable changes in our communities for the worse. One Federalist article explains some other troubles with this federal reclassification: It “would enable marijuana sellers to take tax deductions for their business expenses, such as television and internet advertising. IRS Code Section 280E prohibits Schedule I drug dealers from deducting business expenses other than the cost of goods sold, and if this changes, then pot promotion will become pervasive.”

The same Federalist article warns: “The potency of marijuana has sharply increased since a generation ago, as its THC content grew from 3 percent in 1991 to 17 percent more recently. A 2022 study found that 12 percent of drug-related emergency department visits were due to marijuana, most often for cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, which is severe stomach pain and vomiting that afflicts long-term consumers of the drug.

“The Centers for Disease Control warns that 30 percent of marijuana users develop cannabis use disorder, which includes an increased likelihood of ‘problems with attention, memory, and learning’ and reckless car-driving while under the influence of the drug. Like many addictions, there is a never-ending, increased craving in desperation by marijuana users for more to attain the same ‘high’ as before.”

Such reclassification is not good for America or her citizens and it opens the door for greater CCP funding and influence.

Please contact President Trump, respectfully sharing your concerns regarding his plan to reclassify marijuana.
