Just today, and often, I see pictures or video shorts on Facebook of people with their dog or dogs. We are a nation of dog lovers. Are you? If you are, this story is for you!
Just before 7 in the morning I was on the road with my German Shepherd, Ridley, to pick up some donuts for our staff and volunteers for a work bee to put together our monthly newsletter.
As I went to get back into my car (with donuts in hand), the SUV next to me – a family with kids – hollered to me. “I love your dog.” The mom said, “We have two German Shepherds.” Another sweet boy shouted, “They like to play with us!”
I love my dog. Those kids, that family, would love the dog story that I am about to share with you! I think you will too!
If you are a dog lover, like I am and the family mentioned above, please don’t miss my true story about my German Shepherd, Ridley. It is a THANKSGIVING STORY!
Has your pup ever gotten lost for a day or two? Somehow Ridley’s WIFI collar got ripped off from him and he was lost in the deep, thick, coyote-infested forests of west Michigan. Guess how many days? You’ll have to see for yourself.
I meant to keep this intro short. So, I’ll wrap it up with a special thanks to Caleb Nadeau for his putting up with all of the updates and edits in the presentation of this true account. I couldn’t have ever done it without you!
Thanks, Bill!
Overall, the story of Ridley’s rescue was filled with many behind-the-scenes challenges. From the writing of the story, to the narration account of it, and all the video editing that occurred in the process.
This was a story of much trial and error, but also of persistence in completing a video we believe you will find not just entertaining, but also reflective of the goodwill the Lord bestows upon those who call upon His name.
I would also like to acknowledge the tedious work that Bill, Jan, Lisa, and Becky put into this, and the group effort it took to complete the narrative.
Video production can take a lot of time, commitment, and effort. It can also result in many revisions and retakes.
Much like Bill’s dog, Ridley, those who worked on the video had to go on their own search (their own journey, so to speak) for the right words, right edits, and right vocals to aid in this account.
We hope you will enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it for you! 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving,
-Caleb
