All three of this week’s Decency Minutes, narrated by Bill Johnson, give a warning of topics which our readers and listeners may or may not be unaware of, or know little about. Some of these, or similar stories, may have been on our radar, but with so many important news items bombarding our minds daily, we may have lost track of them.
One important, very recent development that greatly affects all Americans deals with the U.S. rejecting the WHO (World Health Organization) agreement. We’ve warned before how the WHO desires to undermine America’s national sovereignty and control her citizens. We’ve shared the WHO’s ties with China and Marxism. I urge you to watch this 10-minute video of an interview with Reggie Littlejohn, Alex Newman, and Stefania Cox NTDTV (News Today TV) interview here. It describes the dangers we’ve just averted, the potential dangers which lie ahead, and reminds us of the nefariousness of the World Health Organization.
While we may easily lose track of various news stories, there is one thing each of us must take care to retain – the fact that God is sovereign; He is in complete control, so we needn’t be anxious. For the believer, we must also do our best to remember Scripture, asking God to help our retention; this is one reason that daily devotions and meditation are so important to our lives. Jesus, in John 17:17, teaches us that we are sanctified – set apart for holiness – through the Word.
There are those of us with poor memories; we may feel, “what’s the use in reading the Bible or listening to God-glorifying messages?” Perhaps others may feel their efforts in pouring God’s Word into their children or grandchildren (adult or otherwise) is doing little to no good. I pray this short account will encourage you to “not grow weary in well doing.”
The story is told of a simple Hindu convert and a missionary who took great efforts to teach her from the Word of God. The missionary became greatly discouraged at her convert’s slowness in remembering what she had been taught. Finally, the missionary complained, “I guess it’s no use trying to teach you the Word, you seem to forget all I tell you about the Bible. Your mind seems like a sieve. As fast as I pour the water in, it runs out again.” The reply of the poor Hindu convert revealed a great truth, one we should strive to retain. She said, “Yes, I realize my mind is like a sieve. I do forget so much, but when you pour water through a sieve it makes the sieve clean, even though it seems to retain none of it. I am sorry I forget so much, but please don’t stop pouring the Word into me. It makes my heart and mind feel so clean afterwards. The water is not wasted.”
To this I would add, if you’ve ever poured water through a sieve, have you noticed that there are droplets of water which stick? After washing a sieve, it’s not as easy to dry as one might expect. It’s not so much about how much Scripture you memorize, but rather how much it does to you and in you.
Keep pouring the Word into your children, grandchildren, and those God has placed in your path. We are promised in Isaiah 55:1; “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Be faithful.
Be very careful with who or what you confide in; the things you share with Chat GPT may be used against you in a court of law. With the rise of human and AI “relationships,” this could be a real concern.
Open AI’s CEO, Sam Altman, warns that if required by law enforcement, they may be legally required to produce whatever sensitive information and documents you’ve shared with artificial intelligence.
When it comes to sharing things with AI, there’s a huge privacy gap. While legal protections regarding your conversations with human professionals like your therapist, doctor, or lawyer, abound, Chat GPT and other chatbots aren’t afforded these same protections.
Instead of sharing with AI, come to and confide in Christ:
“What a Friend we have in Jesus; all our sins and griefs to bear.
What a privilege to carry every thing to God in prayer.”
It’s Time to Wean Ourselves Off from China
As questions continue to surround US-China trade discussions, one point is made obvious over and over again: we depend far too much on Chinese imports for our everyday necessities for health, safety, and prosperity.
One of the bargaining chips we have with China are literally chips – silicon chips for AI computing which China can use to enhance their arsenal. Meanwhile, China is withholding the rare earth minerals our manufacturing base needs for applications like hardening lead bullets, night vision, magnets, and GPS positioning.
As we’ve pointed out before, China also manufactures a huge percentage of America’s pain medicines and other common pharmaceuticals.
Meanwhile, America and China are locked in a struggle for control over the Panama Canal, one of the world’s most important shipping lanes, which accommodates the vast majority of American imports and exports.
It is time for Americans to wean ourselves off of cheap Chinese products.
Note: There are many good sources one can go to for information on this extremely important topic regarding the CCP’s fingers in many American pies. Here are only a few:

Since January, 41 Planned Parenthood facilities have closed! Congress also passed legislation that strips Planned Parenthood of federal funding – even though a leftist judge is unconstitutionally trying to force the government to continue to fund the abortion behemoth.
While this is great news, there’s a massive dark cloud behind this silver lining. The troubling fact is that the majority of abortions no longer occur within a Planned Parenthood facility, but are the result of the abortion drug mifepristone mailed to the expectant mother with no medical oversight and in violation of many pro-life state laws.
That’s why pro-life leaders are urging President Trump to enforce the Comstock Act – a federal law which prohibits sending the abortion drug across state lines. Add your voice by calling the White House at 202-456-1111 and urge the President to enforce the Comstock Act.
