3 in 3 for 10-03-25

By: Chris Johnson

In the last few months, we’ve lost some of the strongest and most effective voices whom we had come to rely on to speak from a Christian perspective into political conflicts: John MacArthur, James Dobson, Charlie Kirk, Voddie Baucham – these men all stood firm on the truths of scripture in a world bent on pushing us off from that firm foundation.

Each of their losses leaves a void, not only in the lives of those who knew them personally, but in the lives of their readers and audiences who looked to them for sanity and stability.

Thankfully, in the period of time God has placed us, we can still hear their voice speaking that sanity through their archives, recordings, and writing. What better way to honor the memories of these giants of the faith than to go back and listen to what they had to say on the controversial subjects they spoke into?

The Decency Minute radio program transcripts shared below each remind us how badly we need perspectives and arguments like theirs to inform new spiritual leaders in our day. The spiritual battle we face has many fronts: Islam, Antifa, Entertainment. If the John MacArthurs and the Charlie Kirks aren’t around to shine a light, who will stand in their place?

Perhaps God will put you and I in such positions.

Will the Trump Admin Keep the Peace?

Last week, President Trump announced to the military’s top brass that he had signed an executive order establishing a “Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force” to respond to protests or civil unrest in US cities.

Secretary of Defense Hegseth, meanwhile, informed the military that he was “remov[ing] the social justice, politically correct and toxic ideological garbage that had infected [their] department…”

He continued “…if the words I’m speaking today are making your heart sink, then you should do the honorable thing and resign. We will thank you for your service.”

Several weeks ago, Trump also designated Antifa as domestic terrorists.

The left has sent a message with their violent, destructive protests, their attempts to murder their opponents, and their leaderships’ refusal to condemn such violence, and the Trump administration is preparing a response.

Let us hope and pray that Americans can depend on their government to keep the peace.

The NFL Picks Bad Bunny

Corporations have learned the hard way that Americans are sick and tired of woke ideology.  However, the NFL is doubling down, choosing singer Bad Bunny – a crossdressing, liberal activist from Puerto Rico – to perform at the Super Bowl, turning the halftime show into a drag show.

It’s evident that our culture is rejecting trans ideology, yet the NFL chose a crossdresser, who most football fans have never heard of, to spread his ideology on the nation’s largest stage.

Bad Bunny has said he wouldn’t perform in the U.S., in protest over the deportation of illegal aliens.  Yet he’s making an exception for America’s greatest sporting event.

Instead of choosing a singer who would appeal to most Americans, The NFL is once again taunting its massive conservative fanbase.  Call the NFL at 330-962-7272.

If America is Dearborn, Can it Still Be America?

Mayor of Dearborn, Michigan, Abdullah Hammoud, told a Christian resident he’s not welcome in this city and will throw a parade when the man leaves. So far, the mayor has refused to apologize.

Even local elections have consequences; Elon Musk posted on X that Dearborn “is already over 55% Muslim & they clearly don’t have plans at stopping there.” A video is attached with an Islamic resident stating, “America must fall.”

Matt Walsh warns regarding Dearborn: “They’re really building an Islamic capital right in the middle of the American heartland. And nobody is doing anything to stop it.” “If the entire country resembles Dearborn in 50 years, in what sense will America still exist?”

Our founding fathers saw the threat of Islam and fought against it. We must wake up to the jihad of America that’s taking place in our own backyard.

After his recent passing, a clip of a recent Voddie Baucham sermon began to go viral in which he says this, “I go to war against this woke tyranny, number one, because there is a God who created the world, and he has spoken. And fallen man does not get to disagree with the God who has spoken.

“And I go to war against this woke tyranny because, number two, I love fallen men enough to tell them the truth. There is a God. He has spoken. He created man in his image. Created in male and female, he gave us the beauty of the marital relationship as a living, breathing picture of the communion within the Godhead and of the relationship between Christ and his bride for whom he laid down his life.

“May God grant us grace to believe this truth, to proclaim this truth, and to reflect this truth so that the lost and dying world can hear it, flee from sin, and find salvation in Christ.”
