When Peter Hoekstra speaks on intelligence matters and warns Americans about a foe like China, we should listen. One may wonder why. Having been a former US Ambassador to the Netherlands under the Trump administration, having been a former Michigan US Representative for 18 years, and having served as Chairman and Ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, gives him a wide range of experience in such matters. So when he boldly and rightly calls out the Chinese Communist Party for who they are and what they’re doing, people should at the very least give some serious thought to the matter.
The Gatestone Institute recently published a well-written article by Mr. Hoekstra entitled Realism on China, in which he writes, “What is clear is that, intentionally or not, China has shown America’s need to get serious about the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party and its expansionist global aims.
“As the latest provocation by the CCP plays out, it gets more disturbing. The media, and even US President Joe Biden, describe the CCP as a ‘competitor’ and downplay any possible conflict. When the CCP flies spy balloons across the continent, opens police stations in our cities, infiltrates our universities, poisons more than 100,000 Americans with hard drugs each year, and announces its plans to replace the United States, it is hard to argue we are in anything but a ‘Cold War’ with the CCP…”
In recognizing all the above as “Unrestricted Warfare,” one can’t help but wonder when “real” war will take place. It’s a mistake for Americans, American businesses, political figures, or our institutions at large to not consider unrestricted warfare to be “real” war. Many, ignorantly, treat the CCP’s many infiltrations and attacks lightly, as though because there is no bloodshed the threats and acts seem somehow more tolerable. Willful ignorance and willful blindness will play a large role in the destruction of this nation. We must awaken to the very real threat and present danger that China (the CCP) poses. Gratefully, there are many, like Frank Gaffney, who recognize the threat for what it is and speak bluntly and boldly about the dangers that the CCP presents to America’s safety, sovereignty, and security. We’ll look at that shortly.
Hitting the nail on the head, Peter Hoekstra clearly states, “It is time for the U.S. government and our allies to definitively outline the clear challenge and danger the CCP poses to the West. The behavior demonstrated by the CCP spy balloon is not an aberration; it is part of a dangerous pattern. This includes the CCP’s longtime intellectual property theft; breaches of cybersecurity; its increasing global military presence (here, here and here); expanding and modernizing its military, and its purchases of farmland near US military sites. Given that this is the reality, the Biden Administration must act more forcefully in response to the CCP’s aggressive behavior or, through passivity, it will invite an even greater challenge from China.”
Frankly, we must refuse to be willfully blind, proving such resolve by refusing to further fund our CCP enemies. When we consider the fact that, barring the Hand of God, “hot” (kinetic) war with China appears to be imminent and what the results would be for both Americans in general and investors in China specifically, it makes no sense to continue pouring American money into Chinese businesses that only serve to fund the CCP. Frank Gaffney recently had a webinar on this very topic where his key speakers stated that kinetic war, at this rate, is very likely to take place within two years and that those who are investing in China will lose their money. Not to mention the foolishness of funding one’s enemies. Get informed by watching Kevin Freeman, Col. Some of our readers have likely heard statements about “sovereign debt” in relation to how much China owes the US. Brian Kennedy gives a brief but in-depth explanation of what it’s all about. This segment alone is worth your time for the whole seminar.

None of these things are meant to scare our readers; as always, we urge you to put your trust in the Lord and rest in Him. Nonetheless, the Word of God calls us to understand the times, know how to act in them, and to preach the doctrine of Jesus in all we do, resting with our hope in Him.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalm 40:1-5)
