53 years and now this ….

God is faithful!  I am writing this on a very special day in my life.  Jan and I celebrate our 53^rd anniversary.   We were married in 1970 in Jan’s parent’s living room with her parent’s pastor, Pastor Ralph Menning presiding.  Our honeymoon was spent in a nearby decaying hay barn!

By God’s grace, we wanted the help of God to make our marriage be one that would last, “til’ death do us part.”  So I rejoice today despite the great turmoil and rampant wickedness in our country.  We still know that we need God day by day until God calls one or the other one home.

In the meantime, there is a spiritual warfare all about us and upon us. May God help us.  A passage of Scripture that continues to resound in our hearts is the following from 2 Timothy 4:5 – But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

To that end, may God help us. Here is an action note from our part of the world.  Pray and engage where and when you can!  May God help us!
