Right to Life March-This Saturday (1/23/21)

By: Steve Huston

With a new administration that has promised to push for the killing of babies, we need to show our support for the unborn with overwhelming numbers. Join Newaygo County Right to Life on Saturday (1/23/21) at noon for their annual March for Life. They will meet at the American Decency headquarters(203 E. Main St. Fremont, MI) to be a voice for those who have none. With no Right to Life march in Washington D.C. this year, it’s important to make a better showing everywhere else. Other walks will also be announced at this event.

The Family Research Council reports: “On the eve of Joe Biden’s swearing in, the head of America’s biggest abortion business [Planned Parenthood] said, ‘We have a ton of work to do to undo the harm over the last four years, but knowing we have champions there who understand what needs to happen in the first 100 days is tremendously exciting,’ she told NBC News. ‘We are ready to hit the ground running on Day 1,’ she has insisted, pointing out that filling key posts with abortion extremists is one of the group’s biggest goals.”

I can hardly believe that one of this nation’s greatest harm-doers can make the statement, “We have a ton of work to do to undo the harm over the last four years.” Abortion is one of the greatest atrocities and stains upon our nation. President Trump may have done harm to Planned Parenthood’s business but that was committing no harm.

We ask God to bless this land and to heal it; yet Psalms 106:37-38 could be spoken of modern America just as it was to ancient Israel: “Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.”

I encourage all to come with family and friends to the Newaygo Co. Right to Life March for Life this Saturday (1/23/21), meet at American Decency headquarters at noon. If you are a Christian, I urge you to reflect on the passage below from Isaiah and prayerfully March for Life. May the condition of our land humble us, making us sober as we pray for the unborn and for national repentance while we walk.

“Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.  The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.  Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.” (Isaiah 59:7-15)
